Victoria Day Long Weekend….

Normally, the long Victoria Day weekend is meant to kick start the summer time.. Provided the weather cooperates, everyone gets their gardening on, their yard work done… get them patios set up… possibly BBQ.. why not… but this year that wasn’t the case for most, if not all of us… We took the opportunity to kickstart our fundraising efforts by getting the team (and parents) to bag at our local IGA.. well, i really shouldn’t say that we kickstarted the fundraising effort this weekend as we did actually also bag at the local Canadian Tire the weekend before.. in any case, for some of the players this past long weekend was “longer” then they would have liked ;)… i kid, i kid… or am i? lol.. Anyway – it was 3 days of shift work and i must say that the coaching staff couldn’t be prouder.. a total team effort.. and that’s including the parents… just wonderful to see how everyone chipped in to make it a successful weekend.. Successful in every sense of the word; not everything is done on the pitch.. i do believe not one egg was cracked, toast bread flattened.. and maybe just a few tomatoes were dropped but i think that was the extent of it ;)… Congrats to the team and of course a BIG THANK YOU to all of you for making it a success!!! You did such a great job that i think we’ll have one more effort before the season is done 🙂

IGA Bagging weekend

Saturday 10-6pm: Shift 1 ( 10-2pm) Marc, Eziachel , Rafa, (Fabrizio 10-11)
                                Shift 2 (2-6pm) Ben, Christian, Alex
Sunday 10-6pm :   Shift 1 (10-2pm) Justin, Craig, Malcolm
                                Shift 2 (2-6pm) Jesse , Mateo ,Eziachel : Parents (Eniko)
***Please have the boys wear the red practice shirt, and shorts for the bagging***
As you can see we are slightly short with the boys only being three per shift if our Friday night boys can help out in adding an hour of help that would be great.
Dahlia & I will be helping in the bagging, I am in need of 1 parent for both Saturday shifts and 1 parent for the Sunday shift 10-2 pm.
Please remind the boys it is very important no phones
