A trip to Gloucester to play v. Hull

Yesterday we travelled to gloucester to play Hull @ the superdome… The dome reminds me of the concordia dome… Pretty decent… Lighting could be better… Anyway – we gave up the first goal @ the 12min mark of the first half. Interesting tidbit is that we controlled that half up to that point, yet their first true chance was a goal… At half time we were locked up at 1-1… The second half was completely controlled by us on route to a 3-1 victory. It was good to see what kind of team hull will present come the summer time. As is the case with lakeshore, they are still evaluating players but at least I have an idea of what to expect from them. Obviously, the same goes for them.
I think that if we continue to maintain this focus, we will be more then ok. 🙂

A lesson in soccer

Last night we played a game v. Adrenaline. A team we lost to 2-0 about a month or so ago. It was a game we dominated in possession and in chances yet we failed to score. Last night was a different story. Well, the difference was that we scored and scored a lot. We obviously still dominated but the most important thing is that we scored. The final was 6-2! Wowza. Unfortunately the game didn’t go without incident as the manager from adrenaline accused me of using players older than U13?! Say what???? To say this was bizarre is an understatement! We’ve played them numerous times over the last few years and we played and lost to them not a month ago! Same players. Ridiculous. Anyway – the coach told me that we taught them a lesson in soccer… Now this is a man who clearly knows what he’s talking about! 🙂
